Our Year 3.4 girls’ football team recently completed their three matches in the Grange Park cluster football league with a 5v1 loss at home to Priorslee Primary School. We are thrilled with the enthusiasm which has been shown by all of the girls who have participated and we are keen for our young team to continue playing and enjoying their football.

A massive thank you to Mr James at Grange Park Primary School for all of his time spent setting up and running the league.

U11 County Plate Football Competition

Our u11 boys’ football team gave a good account of themselves at the Shropshire Football Association’s County Plate Competition, which was held at TCAT.

The team were against good opposition in Greenfields, St Lawrence, Market Drayton and St Giles Primary Schools. Unfortunately the team missed out on qualification to the next round of the competition with one win and three losses not giving them enough points to gain a place in the top three of the group.

More details regarding the competition can be fond by following the link  http://www.sscfa.co.uk/primary/65-primary/county-competitions/350-u11-boys-county-plate

Sadly, our Round Two Telford and Wrekin Cup match at John Fletcher was postponed on Friday but will be rearranged for after half-term.

Defence of the Title Begins…

Last night our defence of the Telford and Wrekin U-11 Boys Cup began in the group stages at TPS.

We lost our first game 2-0 against a good Old Park team and then went on to win our next games 3-0 and 6-0 against Apley Wood and Wrekin View Primary Schools.

Pleasingly, this meant that the team have progressed to the knock-out stages of the competition and we will notify the team of their next fixture as soon as the draw has been made.

Well done boys!

Year 3.4 Girls v Redhill

On Friday 20th September 2018, our Year 3.4 girls played their first ever match at home to Redhill Primary School.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their first taste of a real match and despite coming up against a strong Redhill team they never quit.

Thank you to Mr Worthington and his team for an excellent evening of football

Y6 v John Fletcher

On Thursday 20th September we welcomed John Fletcher for a Year 6 football friendly on a very wet evening!

The match was excellent preparation for our upcoming Telford & Wrekin competition next Tuesday at TPS.

The boys played some excellent football and were rewarded with a 7-1 win.

A big thank you to Mr Cowdrill for bringing a team over and we look forward to organising some more fixtures with other year groups.
